Reducing public place violence in Hastings |

The Safer Hastings Partnership has commissioned Ranzetta Consulting to review its work to reduce public place violent crime. Starting in January, we will be evaluating a range of initiatives, including taxi marshalling, late night transport, Pubwatch and the DPPO for effectiveness in reducing alcohol-related crime and ASB. The findings will inform the Patnership's Community Safety Plan 2008-2011. |

Developing responses to problem gambling |

As the new Gambling Act regulations come into force from 1st September, Libby Ranzetta has been working with the Responsibility in Gambling Trust to develop an infrastructure for problem gambling treatment and prevention. Ranzetta Consulting have also established a new website to monitor the impact of the Act, see www.problemgamblingnews.net. |

Research for a national alcohol practice 'hub' |

Ranzetta Consulting are carrying out the research phase of a new information hub that will house details of interesting practice in alcohol prevention and health interventions. The Department of Health has funded Alcohol Concern for two years to develop and maintain the hub. |
